There was a definite "buzz" at the Brewer/Plumeria booth all weekend, as dealers and other top shapers came by to see the new ultra light, ultra strong carbon fiber/Kevlar boards.
"It was a fantastic show for us" said Mark Geist, CEO of Hydro Epic. "Working in conjunction with Dick Brewer is amazing because he's dedicated to high performance surfboards and so are we. People saw our boards up close for the first time so we were encouraged by the excitement they created" said Geist. The 2004 ASR attracted over 1,500 exhibitors and traffic was brisk throughout the three day show.
Hydro Epic creates surfboards utilizing materials and manufacturing concepts taken from the marine and airplane industries to create high performance surfboards that are lightweight and durable.
