New Shapes from Al Merrick, Michael Hynson and Bill Stewart

It just keeps getting better as three of the world’s best shapers have joined Steve Walden and Dick Brewer, adding custom shapes powered by Hydro Epic to their line.

Al Merrick
Al has shaped an ultra thin high-performance short board, which was then powered up with an AeroFlex carbon frame and carbon/Kevlar aluminum skin and filled with – nothing (which makes it significantly lighter). The board has been under development for over two years and is getting raves from the lucky few who have surfed it. Some of Al’s team riders have recently been seen riding prototypes - check out Tim Curran on the 6-1 in this month’s Surfing Magazine. This killer shape will be available in 6-1, 6-3, and 6-6 lengths - only at authorized Channel Islands dealers. Look for them to start shipping in August. Order yours now – they’re sure to sell out.

The ever-popular fish is one of the hottest shapes to ride this summer, and Hynson is a legendary craftsman of this model.
