Converse is sponsoring the California Classic at Malibu Beach August 27 to the 29th. Representatives from Hydro Epic will be on hand to showcase their line of surfboards including the 9'1" High Performance Longboard shaped by Ron Marcos and weighing less than 12 pounds. Come check out this revolutionary surfboard next to the grandstand on the beach during the contest.

The Malibu event will include many of the same surfers competing in the Converse Hawaiian Open so there will be an opportunity for rivals to have a second chance at winning one of the events. Longboarder Magazine is hosting the event.
